Guest Hooder Requirements
All graduate candidates who are eligible for a Guest Hooder and would like to request one must complete the Guest Hooder Request Form.
The Guest Hooder Request Form can be found in in the 2023 Grad Guide provided in your student email.
- This form must be submitted no later than Wednesday, December 21, 2022. We cannot make exceptions to any deadlines.
- Completion of this form DOES NOT guarantee approval of your Guest Hooder.
- Students will be notified of approval or denial of their Guest Hooder request no later than Friday, January 13, 2023. Notifications will be sent to the e-mail provided on the request form.
COM GRADUATES - GUEST HOODER REQUIREMENTS
COM Guest Hooders must meet one of the following criteria. All requests must be submitted by filling out the Guest Hooder Request Form.
- An immediate family member that is a DO, MD, MBBS or MBBCH (medical degree granted in some countries)
- For this purpose an immediate family member is defined as a: grandparent, parent, mother/father inlaw, significant other or sibling.
- A current KCU faculty member, preceptor or adjunct faculty member
COM graduate candidates who do not request a Guest Hooder will be hooded by a COM faculty member.
BIOMED (2-YEAR TRACK) GRADUATES - GUEST HOODER REQUIREMENTS
Biomed 2-Year Track graduate candidates may request for their research track mentor to be their Guest Hooder by filling out the Guest Hooder Request Form.
Biomed 2-Year Track graduate candidates who do not request a Guest Hooder will be hooded by a COB faculty member.
PSYD GRADUATES - GUEST HOODER REQUIREMENTS
PsyD graduate candidates will be hooded by their dissertation chair. However, if you have an immediate family member that has a doctoral degree, you may request them as a second Guest Hooder by filling out the Guest Hooder Request Form.
- For this purpose an immediate family member is defined as a: grandparent, parent, mother/father inlaw, significant other or sibling.
BIOMED (1-YEAR TRACK) GRADUATES - FACULTY HOODER DETAILS
Biomed 1-Year Track graduates are NOT eligible for Guest Hooders and will be hooded by a COB faculty member.
