Erinne Kennedy, DMD, MPH, MMSc

Dr. Kennedy is a public health dentist that focuses her research on studying burnout and resilience, antibiotic stewardship, social determinants of health-related to oral health and preventive dentistry. With a passion for understanding burnout and resilience in dental education, Dr. Kennedy has validated and conducted national surveys measuring burnout in the US. She continues to build programs that build resilience and measure outcomes in health professions education.
She has served on the American Dental Association (ADA) expert panel for developing the guideline on the Use of Antibiotics for the Emergency Management of Symptomatic Irreversible Pulpitis, Symptomatic Apical Periodontitis, and Localized Acute Apical Abscess. Additionally, she was a speaker for the first interdisciplinary statewide training in Massachusetts on antibiotic stewardship, and the first national Antibiotic Stewardship conference for dental teams hosted by OSAP. She continues to conduct research in the area of antibiotic stewardship and develop tools for clinical practice. Recently, she has begun to publish work in the area of collaborative teaching, and assessment in predoctoral education.
