Awarded to: Up to ten students annually at the beginning of each academic year. Students must be certified as an eligible recipient by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs to receive the scholarship, which is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

KCU manages several endowed scholarship funds and awards second-, third- and fourth-year medical students scholarships from these funds annually. The criteria for each scholarship is donor stipulated. Applications for endowed scholarships are made available each spring and scholarships are awarded in the fall of the following year. Each scholarship requires leadership and community service as part of the criteria for receiving funds. Awards typically range from $500 to $2,000.
