Ronald W. Hubbard, DO, FACOS, Memorial Lecture Series

The Ronald W. Hubbard, DO, FACOS, Memorial Lecture Series is a permanently endowed fund that brings nationally renowned speakers to Kansas City University (KCU) to provide education on the art and science of medical practice to the University’s students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community at large.

The fund was established with generous contributions from Dr. Ronald Hubbard’s son, Kevin P. Hubbard, DO, MACOI (COM ‘86). This lecture series honors Dr. Ronald Hubbard’s legacy and passion for educating osteopathic medical students.

About Ronald W. Hubbard, DO, FACOS

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Ronald W. Hubbard, DO, FACOS, received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from KCU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1961. After completing a rotating internship and residency in general surgery, he served the community as a general surgeon until his retirement in 1999. Early in his practice years, he also had a family practice, just like his own father, Willard T. Hubbard, DO (COM ‘41).

Dr. Hubbard’s service to the osteopathic profession extended well beyond his practice. He served on the American Osteopathic Association Board of Trustees and as president of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. He was also named president of the KCU Alumni Association and served as a professor of surgery at KCU for more than 30 years and chair of the Department of Surgery at Park Lane Medical Center. He received many honors and awards during his career.
