Dr. Jacqueline M. Miller receives Award of Merit for her leadership and outstanding service to the community

Jacqueline M. Miller, DDS, receives award

St. Louis, Missouri – Jacqueline M. Miller, DDS, adjunct assistant professor of dental at Kansas City University (KCU) College of Dental Medicine, received the Greater St. Louis Dental Society’s Award of Merit at the Society’s Annual Installation of Officers and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Piazza Messina, in Cottleville, Missouri. Her dental career spans over three decades, marked by a dedication to clinical excellence, education and community service.

Dr. Miller earned her DDS with distinction from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1991. During dental school, she was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, served as president of the dental school student council, and participated in an outreach dental mission trip to Venezuela.

Dr. Miller further specialized in orthodontics, earning a Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1993. She has practiced orthodontics in Washington, Missouri for 29 years. She later expanded her expertise by completing a Master of Public Health from A.T. Still University in 2022.

Throughout her career, Dr. Miller has excelled in both private practice and leadership roles. She served as the director of oral health for the state of Missouri, where she successfully secured competitive grants to advance statewide dental initiatives. An advocate for education, she has been a clinical instructor at Saint Louis University and now at KCU.

Dr. Miller is deeply committed to humanitarian efforts, having organized and participated in 26 international dental mission trips to underserved communities. Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including the American Association of Orthodontists Humanitarian Award and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society Humanitarian Award.
