Student Research Opportunities

The KCU College of Dental Medicine provides selected dental students with an immersive research experience through the Summer Student Research Fellowship (SSRF). Students are introduced to the evidence base for clinical and community practice by participating in a research project mentored by faculty from the Colleges of Dental Medicine, Medicine, and Biosciences. The program allows students to participate in a research project and to present the results through public presentation of their work.

The SSRF starts annually in June and continues through the summer term. Previous research experience is not a requirement. Selected Research Fellows are matched with faculty mentors and receive a summer stipend. Research Fellows are required to present a poster of their projects at KCU’s Research Symposium.

Please contact Dr. Sharon Gordon if you are interested in conducting summer research.
