Centura Health System
The Centura Heath system is comprised of multiple hospital and clinic locations in Colorado and Western Kansas. Third-year clerkships with the health system are completed in Centura hospitals and clinics in the Denver metropolitan area. A wide range of clinical experiences are available from outpatient clinics, to smaller community hospitals, to a large, level-1 trauma center.

Third-Year Clerkships
- Family Medicine (4 weeks) - Outpatient
- Internal Medicine (8 weeks) - Inpatient/Outpatient
- Ob/Gyn (4 weeks) - Inpatient/Outpatient
- Pediatrics (4 weeks) - Outpatient
- Psychiatry (4 weeks) - Inpatient/Outpatient
- Surgery (8 weeks) Inpatient/Outpatient
This site schedules clinical experiences in four-week increments.

Resources & Benefits
- Facility Resources: Students will have access to the computers, internet, lounge, medical library, medical records, phones and printers while on duty at the hospital
- Meal Benefits: Meals provided to students while on duty during inpatient clerkships
- Visiting Student Housing: Unavailable at this time
Duties & Opportunities
- Student Duties: Students are required to participate in weekly rounds, weekend rounds and night call as assigned by the site, preceptor or service
- Didactics: Students are required to participate weekly
- OMT/OPP Opportunities: Students are required to participate in OMT/OPP quarterly and as assigned during specific clerkships
Unique Site Characteristics
- Application and/or onboarding through MyClinicalExchange or Clinician Nexus required for some clerkships
- Background check and drug screen required annually
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be current
- Global Track and Military Track Students must communicate third-year obligations to core site as soon as the Clerkship Site Match is finalized
- Orientation provided prior to third-year clerkships and on the first day of each clerkship
- TB screening required annually (only two-step skin test or blood test accepted)
- Travel may be required for third-year Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA)
