Behavioral Medicine Honors Track

Behavioral medicine honors track

Integrating behavioral health with primary care

The Behavioral Medicine Honors Track is a specialized elective within the DO program designed to merge psychiatric care with primary health. This track provides a unique opportunity for students to gain comprehensive knowledge in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, all while considering the broader context of overall health.

Through a combination of research, clinical experience and specialized training—such as osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) and relaxation techniques—students will build expertise in this growing field. The track is ideal for those pursuing careers in psychiatry, med-psych, family medicine and addiction medicine.
