KCU Named a Best Place to Work
One of the strategic goals of KCU is to build the best university team in the profession. It is important to KCU to grow and maintain a culture that invests in the faculty and staff that it employs in order to promote student success. While KCU strives to make this a reality, we are humbled to be recognized by an Kansas City organization as one of the best companies to work for. Late last year, Ingram’s Magazine did just that when it named KCU one of the best companies to work for in Kansas City in 2017,
There were many qualities that Ingram’s identified as key reasons why KCU stood out among the rest. Some of the factors include: KCU’s paid time off; retirement plan matching; an employee wellness program, including an on-site fitness center; and a $5,000 yearly tuition assistance benefit. In addition, KCU offers four days away from work for employees to perform community service annually.
Joe Massman, KCU's CFO/COO says, “All of those things were a direct result of feedback we received from our employees, and those benefits align with who we are as an organization.”
The people who come to work at KCU have a sense of altruism and mission-driven thinking. “It’s meaningful work,” says Massman. “and a point of differentiation about why people want to do the work here, relative to other places.”
KCU is honored to be included in this prestigious group of organizations and continues to look for new ways to build the best university team in the profession.
