Compliance Training
Before any research can be initiated, all required training must be completed on the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) website. Use the steps below to complete your training. Depending on the type of research, multiple courses may be required.
Before engaging in any research or educational activity that is funded by the National Science Foundation, the Financial Conflict of Interest course on citiprogram.org must be completed. Training is valid for two years.
Important - Additional training needed for biohazardous labs/IBC research: NIH requires documentation that personnel in biohazardous labs have both general training (CITI's Biosafety Complete Training) and lab-specific, principal investigator-led training. The principal investigator of the lab gives the hands-on training to the personnel. Download the lab-specific training form and submit the completed form to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
